The geography of Fells Point has changed dramatically due to in-filling
since Thomas Kemp opened his shipyard here on what was then the water's
edge in 1805. Kemp built many classic schooners, popularly called
Baltimore Clippers, including Rossie, Comet, Patapsco, and
Chasseur, the original Pride of Baltimore.
