BSM Track Updates . . . by John LaCosta
Saturday (2/17)
The track crew was out again (Ed Amrhein, Chris Howell, Rick Obbink and
Ben Bates) working on the second track as well as general clean up.
Dennis Yeager, Justin Thillman, and I started some overheadline work
between 27th street and the 28th street loop. We were joined by some of the track
gang (Ed Amrhein, Chris Howell and Carl Merson). We replaced the back bone and
pull-off insulators with the rebuilt insulators that Dave Crow had built.
Sunday (2/18)
Ed Amrhein was Dispatcher with David Baynes, Mel Boteler and Bob Cohen as
crew on another very busy winter Sunday.
Sunday (2/25)
Ben Bates was Dispatcher with Andy Blumberg as crew on a very light winter
Sunday.
The shop however was very busy. Rick Obbink, Gary and Billwere at work on
4533's door castings. Mean while down in the Car House Mark Dawson,
Buster Hughes and Gene Carson were busy working on the seats for 4533 and hooking
up the route sign box light. I stopped in long enough to get some additional
pictures for use in the training manual for 4533.
